ChappellAmps Gallery

This gallery contains some example of the work I have done.  I build some of the cabinets on consignment, others get built and put up for sale because I see a peice of wood that I can't pass up.   A few of those are offered for sale and will have prices if thats the case.  There are also a few prototypes that pop up from time to time a reduced prices.

The Hynes Stack
This was a commissioned project of a matching head and twin cabinets.  The custom red color is brighter than sample 10 found on my finishes page here.  I used a white mother of pearl laminate for the piping and coat of arms.

Wine Head and Speaker Cab Set

This set is made from clear pine and painted a nice wine color.  The grill cloth is oxblood.  A matching flamed maple faceplate blank was included.  The head cabinet is sized for a standard 16"x8"x2" chassis.  The head and speaker cabinets are the same as those created for AX84.

The Original October Studio and AX84 speaker cabinet

This amp was the first of the Studio series and the goal was to produce the classic tone of certain British amps from the late 60's and early 70's.  After extensive testing, tuning, and de-bugging, we got it right.  Although the amp is only 2W, it is plenty loud enough to make your ears ring during home use.  Additionally, since it is only 2W, the noise floor of this amp is extremely low making it ideal for studio use.

The Original 4-4-0 Studio

This amp was the second in the Studio series and from the first it was intended as an amp with more of a "lead" character.  For inspiration, we looked at tweed, two channel amps and amps that had been based on them.  The normal channel is the only one used, and it's been extensively hot-rodded. This is a sweet singing lead machine with tons of harmonics and blooming distortion.

Golden Honey October Club

This October is in a golden honey colored, flamed maple cab.  The amp has bot the Vintage/Moder switch and the Series/Parallel switch.

Jatober Club

This is a 20W October Club build with a Jatoba head cabinet, hence the name Jatober.  This particular build had the optional Series/Parallel preamp channel switch.
